"Hats off to America! A blood donation camp has been arranged in honor of our little soldiers who are on fight against thalassemia. It's kind-hearted people like you that makes the world a better place."
University of South Asia (USA) one of the top most institution in Pakistan has taken commendable step and organized a blood donation camp for one day to collect blood for thalassemia patients. The event was a great success, as students, faculty, and even support staff helped in one ambitious cause of blood donation, making their compassion felt. Gratitude to all the participants is owed particularly to Noor Thalassemia Foundation and its Director Mr.Sajjad Cheema for the reason why this event achieved remarkable heights. It was a hopeful day since every little donor did his or her part in making sure that the lives of the little soldiers suffering from thalassemia were made a little better.
Thalaessmia is an inherited blood disease that decreases the ability of red blood cells containing hemoglobin and tasked with oxygen transport throughout the organism. T these people produce abnormal or not enough hemoglobin, thus the red blood cells will be destroyed at a higher rate leading to low levels of red blood cells also known as anemia, weakness and low oxygen level related illnesses.
Noor Thalassemia Foundation started its work in 2015 and provides free treatment, medicines and blood transfusions to poor children suffering from Thalassemia. We have concrete objectives: to eradicate thalassemia in Pakistan. Many people have been kind enough to help us with this, and as a result, we have managed to help thousands of children, providing them with necessary treatment despite financial difficulties.
We urge everyone to participate. By giving away blood and donating Zakat you have the power to make a huge difference to these children’s lives in their battle.
